Bianca Santana, originally from São Paulo, Brazil, where she earned her BS in Science and Technology with an emphasis on Biotechnology from the Federal University of ABC. She is currently a PhD student in Bioengineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research focuses on developing microrobot-based drug delivery systems to transport genetic material across biological barriers and enable the in situ production of therapeutic proteins. By combining gene therapy with microrobotics, Bianca aims to enhance treatment for a variety of diseases. She is passionate about leveraging bioengineering to create more effective therapies that advance the future of personalized medicine.
