IRACDA Postdoc Fellow
Tufts University, United States
Mariah L. Arral is an NIH IRACDA postdoctoral fellow in Dr. David Kaplan’s lab at Tufts University. She earned her Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University under Dr. Kathryn Whitehead, where she developed materials for lipid nanoparticles and investigated how formulation affects delivery and immune responses. Her current research focuses on silk-based biomaterials for tissue engineering and drug delivery, examining how material properties impact cell behavior and therapeutic efficacy. She has received the NIH F31, NSF GRFP, and CRS Member of the Year Award. Mariah aims to lead an independent lab focused on interdisciplinary materials design and drug delivery.
