Prof. Eliana Lima, is a Full Professor of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Brazil, where she has been affiliated with the School of Pharmacy since 1991. She leads the FarmaTec laboratory, located in the UFG Technology Park, which is the most comprehensive and well-equipped research center in pharmaceutics and nano drug delivery in Brazil. Her research focuses on optimizing drug delivery by modulating nano–bio interactions through tailored nanoparticle surface properties. Dr. Lima has played a pivotal role in establishing and coordinating research networks that have helped define and strengthen the field of pharmaceutical nanotechnology in Brazil. She holds intellectual property over several drug delivery technologies, some licensed or transferred to pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. She has supervised over 100 master's, doctoral, and postdoctoral researchers, many now holding prominent positions in academia and industry both in Brazil and worldwide. With more than 120 publications and an H-index >33, she has received numerous awards, including one of Brazil’s highest science honors from the National Council of Research Foundations in 2023.
