Sujatha Kannan is the Richard J. Traystman Endowed Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine & Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University. She is also a research scientist at the Hugo Moser Research Institute, Kennedy Krieger Institute, Baltimore. She currently practices pediatric critical care medicine with a focus on pediatric neurocritical care at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Kannan’s translational research involves using nanotechnology and nanomedicine to understand, manipulate, and track glial and neuronal responses in the brain, especially in disorders such as cerebral palsy, autism, Rett syndrome, seizures, neuroinflammatory, and neurodegenerative disorders.
